The purpose of the institute is, through counselling and education, to facilitate the greatest possible compensation for the effects of visual impairment.

Danish Association of the Blind
Danish Association of the Blind, "Dansk Blindesamfund", is an all-blind organization. This means that DAB is formed and run by people who suffer from blindness or severe visual impairment.

Danish Council of Organisations of Disabled People (DSI)
DSI is the only Danish umbrella organisation in the disability field. DSI has today 29 member organisations.
