The first experiences with integrated education of v.i. pupils in Catalonia date from the late 70's. The law on Education of children with special needs dates from 1997. This law provides in integration at every level of education.
Staff: team for psychopedagogic assessment; team of itinerant teachers; team of different specialists: O&M, visual rehabilitation, new technology.
The Catalan Government and Once together are responsible for the resource centre, that provides services to children, families and teachers and staff of the mainstream schools.
