There is a legislation that is numbered 573 which requires visually impaired children will be integrated in regular school settings from elementary school through high school.
Itinerant teacher
Talking books, readers
Text books are provided in braille
Not sufficient
Itinerant teachers are trained teachers for the visually impaired.
Itinerant teachers are based local agency.
The ratio is 1/20
The itinerant teachers give support to the classroom teacher and v.i. children
There is no support service for parents
Our University is the only institution for training teachers for the visually impaired.
