In Estonia, there is only one special state school for the blind and visually impaired - Tartu Emajoe School. Visually impaired children (also MDVI) from all over Estonia study at Tartu Tartu Emajõe School. Tartu Emajoe School provides rehabilitation services for children and adults with blindness or low-vision.

Tallinn Helen's School (Tallinn Deaf School until 2005) is a municipal school. In autumn 2005 groups and classes for the blind, including the blind with multiple disabilities and deaf-blind were formed in preschool and basic school.
